HUNGER PROJECT-GHANA CELEBRATES 'WORLD HUNGER DAY' AT KYEMPO. The Hunger Project-Ghana an NGO, yesterday joined the community members of Asante Akyem Kyempo in the Juaso municipality of the Ashanti Region to mark World Hunger Day. World Hunger Day is an initiative by the Hunger Project started in 2011, aimed at celebrating sustainable solutions to hunger and poverty. This year, the day highlighted the importance of fostering self-reliance, upholding principles of human dignity and recognizing that every human is inherently creative,resourceful, responsible and productive. The celebration at Kyempo saw many residents to enlightened  with the importance of eradicating through farming. The country's director of Hunger Project Ghana, Erasmus Samuel Afrane explained that, more than 815 million people in the world do not have enough food to eat. NATIONAL IDENTIFICATION AUTHORITY APOLOGY 28TH MAY 2016 For immediate release PRESS RELEASE COMMENCEMENT OF MASS REGISTRATION OF GHANAIANS FOR THE GHANA CARD The National Identification Authority (NIA) regrets to inform the general public especially the selected institutions scheduled to be registered from today Monday 28th May, 2018 to Friday 8th June, 2018 about its inability to roll-out today as planned. The National Identification System has suffered a technical hitch which has affected the NIA’s ability to commence roll-out as scheduled. Details of the technical difficulties will be communicated to the general public in due course. Our technical team is working fervently to resolve the issue for registration to begin. Under the circumstance registration was suspended today until the problem is completely resolved. GHANA CARD ISSUANCE ON MAY 28 -10,000 Staff, 2,500 machines to be deployed By Elvis DARKO, Accra REGISTRATION and instant issuance of the National Identity ((ID) cards, known as Ghana Card, to all Ghanaians will begin from Monday, May 28, 2018. The registration is expected to begin at 7am, starting from the Jubilee House, Parliament House, Judicial Service, as well as security sector institutions; namely, Ghana Police Service, Prisons Service, Immigration Service, National Fire Service, and Ghana Armed Forces (GAF).
