HUNGER PROJECT-GHANA CELEBRATES 'WORLD HUNGER DAY' AT KYEMPO. The Hunger Project-Ghana an NGO, yesterday joined the community members of Asante Akyem Kyempo in the Juaso municipality of the Ashanti Region to mark World Hunger Day. World Hunger Day is an initiative by the Hunger Project started in 2011, aimed at celebrating sustainable solutions to hunger and poverty. This year, the day highlighted the importance of fostering self-reliance, upholding principles of human dignity and recognizing that every human is inherently creative,resourceful, responsible and productive. The celebration at Kyempo saw many residents to enlightened with the importance of eradicating through farming. The country's director of Hunger Project Ghana, Erasmus Samuel Afrane explained that, more than 815 million people in the world do not have enough food to eat.
